A talk heard around the world
Pop quiz: what’s the most watched TED talk of all time?
You’ve almost certainly seen it.
Maybe even multiple times.
It catalyzed an entire generation to think differently about one (big) idea.
And shaped governments and policy across continents.
This talk was one of the first of its kind to strike a worldwide chord on reinventing education.
And at over 76 million views, Sir Ken Robinson’s talk “Do Schools Kill Creativity?” is the most watched TED Talk ever.
It’s been estimated to have been seen by over 380 million people in over 160 countries.
And though Sir Ken shared pioneering ideas at the time on the brain, creativity and what it means to truly educate humans…
His talk wasn’t just full of information, ideas and data.
It was however rich with something else.
Stories.
Sir Ken’s ability to weave captivating stories into great ideas was what made it so sticky.
(And his use of witty humor certainly didn’t hurt!)
He was a true Conscious Entrepreneur with big ideas to change the world… and did so quite effectively.
Stories impact the world.
And your ability to tell great stories strongly correlates to how much impact you can have (as we’ve seen so clearly with Sir Ken).
So we have something coming up at The KINN that I think you’re going to like.
It’s based on the success of the last public speaking series we co-created with one of the world’s top speaking coaches, Richard Greene.
We’re excited to invite you to the Storytelling Accelerator.
It’s 6-weeks, and you’ll learn to become a high impact storyteller while creating your own TED Talk or signature speech.
If you’re a founder, leader, or professional, and you want to create and share a message with the world, this is for you.
Week by week you’ll move from public speaking foundations, to finding your voice, to clarifying your message, to practicing your talk and all the way to live presentations.
If you’d like to learn more, you can check it out here:
I’m excited to bring more world-class, in-person training to the KINN.
And storytelling seemed too perfect of a topic to pass up on.
We only have 15 spots for this one.
So check it out if you’re looking to share big ideas and make a big impact.
Storytelling just might be your missing link.
Cheers,
Oliver

PS. Despite Sir Ken Robinson passing in 2020, his ideas ring true now more than ever.
In 2006, he shared this with the audience:
“I believe our only hope for the future is to adopt a new concept of human ecology, one in which we start to reconstitute our conception of the richness of human capacity. Our education system has mined our minds in the way we strip-mined the earth for a particular commodity. We have to rethink the fundamental principles in which we are educating our children.”
Sir Ken’s visionary perspective helped millions see the value of untapped human potential.
Let’s honor his legacy and commit to telling better stories in educating future generations to come.
