Rising up by lifting others
A few weeks ago, something powerful happened.
TEDx Pacific Avenue wasn’t just a stage… it became a platform for transformation.
We heard from Congressmen, actors, authors, activists, wellness pioneers, and entrepreneurs.
But the moment that left the biggest mark on me?
Watching seven graduates of the KINN’s public speaking course take that stage.
It was a full-circle moment for KINN.
Most if not all of our seven alumni would’ve once said, “I could never imagine doing a TED Talk.”
And yet there they were: standing tall, owning their voice, sharing ideas that might just change the world.
Congressman Brian Baird shared…
“I've given thousands of lectures and speeches as a former university professor and then as a member of Congress and as a communications consultant. Notwithstanding all that background, the process of preparing for, delivering, and working with my fellow presenters to present in the unique TEDx format was truly extraordinary and not something I've ever really experienced before. I learned a tremendous amount, built a great network and friendship, and had the opportunity to share what I believe are important and powerful ideas.”
This is why the KINN exists.
To support bold missions and the people behind them.
To offer not just space, but the structure, support, and soul required for brilliant, innovative ideas to become reality.
We’re not here to build another coworking space or run just another speaker series.
We’re here to rise by lifting others.
It’s the core of why the KINN exists:
To support your entrepreneurial journey.
To give you the tools, the skills, and the support to grow personally and professionally, and to help you lift others as you go.
This TEDx was a living embodiment of that.
Richard Greene, who leads our public speaking course, worked relentlessly, hosting online sessions, giving live coaching, and rehearsing every single night with all the speakers, not just the KINN alumni.
There was real camaraderie. Speakers from across the world are now in a group chat, still sharing ideas and lifting each other up.
One of our most powerful talks came from Congressman Brian Baird (fun fact: he’s Billie Eilish’s uncle).
His message? That service is the secret to a meaningful life.
And I couldn’t agree more.
So here’s the question I want to leave you with:
How are you showing up for others?
Whether you’re building a product, offering a service, or navigating a new chapter, how is your work lifting people up?
Because the more we give, the more we grow.
We're already planning the next TEDx.
And we’re doubling down on building the training and coaching to help more of our members rise…
By helping them step into the spotlight as speakers, leaders, and conscious entrepreneurs.
Let’s keep rising together.
Oliver
P.S. If you want to dial in your own public speaking for your company, your brand or your mission…
