If you already had it all... how would you live?
I’ve been reflecting lately on a question that’s been quietly reshaping how I move through my life and work:
What if everything you want has already happened?
What if the future version of you—one who’s already created what you dream of, experienced what you long for, and lived the fullness of your vision—is real, right now?
And what if your job is simply to start living as them?
This isn’t an affirmation.
It’s a design principle.
It’s the mindset that’s guiding how I’m shaping this year.
Too often, we build from a place of lack.
“How will I afford this?” “How do I catch up?” “What should I optimize next?”
But when we shift into the belief that we’ve already arrived, everything changes.
Our decisions become clearer. Our joy becomes louder. Our strategy becomes more human.
I think about what Joe Dispenza teaches—how our thoughts create neurochemical patterns that reinforce our past.
But when you visualize a future, and feel into it as if it’s real, you change your body before anything outside changes.
You’re not waiting for success to feel joy. You’re using joy to signal alignment. You’re becoming your future self now.
That’s not so different from what Buddhism has always pointed to.
The joy, the liberation, the enoughness—it’s already here.
We just forget. We become distracted by the past, the present, and worries about the future. We look outward for validation.
So lately, I’ve been trying to let go of these mental traps.
I’ve been asking: What’s the 20% of my week that brings me 80% of my joy?
For me, it’s connection. Creating new offerings, dreaming up new gatherings, ideating with others, experiencing what we’ve built at KINN.
And it’s also play. Laughter. Making time to dance. Spending time in nature.
That’s where the energy lives.
That’s the thread I want to follow more deliberately, and when I can, I try to deliberately structure these things into my workday.
And on the flip side? Internal meetings, routine check-ins, spinning too many plates. Those things drain me.
Not because they’re bad… just because they’re not where my genius lives.
So I’ve been thinking: What if we just made the strategic hires now?
What if we raised our baseline to match where we’re headed, not where we’ve been?
Tim Ferriss once said: “What’s one decision that can eliminate 1,000 decisions?”
For me, that decision is this:
I’m choosing joy as the organizing principle.
Not the bonus at the end of a sprint. Not the reward for hitting the goal.
But the starting point. The strategy. The clue that I’m walking the right path.
That’s how I’m designing my year now.
From joy.
From the future already realized.
From a place of beauty. Not waiting for homecoming, but already being home.
I think this is what’s needed for conscious entrepreneurs now.
To stop focusing on linear growth, and instead step into a new paradigm—one that prioritizes coherence, energy, and aliveness.
To lead by example.
To create businesses—and lives—that feel good to live inside.
So I’ll leave you with the same question I’m sitting with:
If everything you wanted already happened… how would you live?
Reply here to let me know what comes up.
Warmly,
Oliver
